Title: ecoinvent announces v3.1 database
Post by: pbeilschmidt on July 03, 2014, 08:49
The ecoinvent Centre has announced the upcoming release of version v3.1 of their databases for July.

Changes/Updates expected in ecoinvent v3.1:

In addition the data will now be provided based on a "new" system model. This system model is called "Allocation, cut-off by classification" and is described here (http://www.ecoinvent.org/database/ecoinvent-version-3/system-models/allocation-cut-off-by-classification/implementation-of-new-system-model-in-v301/). The "new" system model is basically what has been used for allocation in ecoinvent v2.2, so this is interesting for those users who want to do comparisons of LCA calculations with ecoinvent v2.2 and ecoinvent v3 data.

Once we receive the data we will import them into Umberto NXT LCA and deliver the new master databases integrated in a new program release. We will announce the new Umberto NXT release here in the forum, and of course inform existing customers directly.
