General / Update to the new LCA Software Generation – Umberto LCA+
« Last post by LauraBlödorn on March 07, 2018, 16:46 »
We have recently launched the new Umberto+ Generation!

Umberto maintenance and support service customers will get the update to the new Umberto+ version free of charge. We recommend Umberto NXT CO2 customers to update to the new version called Umberto LCA+. All the familiar functions from Umberto NXT CO2 will still be available, you will even benefit from the following new features:

  • Cost calculation for Life Cycle Costing, among others
  • Life Cycle Assessment according to ISO 14040 / 14044 (requires a full license of ecoinvent or GaBi)
  • Ability to use Material Flow Cost Accounting (MFCA)
  • Update to the new ecoinvent 3.4 database (available to all customers with a valid ecoinvent 3 license and the corresponding valid ecoinvent Maintenance)
  • Advanced modeling using scripting with Python
  • Software interface now also available in German

To find a more detailed overview of the new functions and technical novelties, please have a look at the Release Notes.

Since this is a new version of the software, you will not receive a regular update notification in Umberto NXT. Therefore you have to download the new version here and continue with the installation as usual. Have fun with all the new features!

When installing the new version, please note the instruction notes which we have summarized for you in a pdf file. Please read them carefully. If you have any questions, please feel free to comment below this post or contact the Umberto support team at support@umberto.de.

You are an Umberto customer without an Umberto maintenance and support service, and you are interested in the new Umberto LCA+ version? Then please contact sales@umberto.de.

Hallo uniquename,

Hallo liebes Forum, liebes Umberto Team,

Lukas

General / What is the reference flow
« Last post by Reference_engineer on November 08, 2017, 16:52 »
Hi everyone,

I am new to Umberto and I am trying to understand how this program works. Some things are not clear yet for me. Therefore I should start with my first question.

What is the reference flow? What is the relation to the calculations? Could it be more than one "product"?

Thanks for the help! :-)

General / API to run simulations in Umberto NXT
« Last post by yut.sin1301 on October 21, 2017, 11:25 »
Hi there, My name is Jeen
Is there any API to run simulations in Umberto NXT from an external application and take the results. In that case is it possible to access to that API from c/c++?

Thanks

General / Re: Dynamic modelling
« Last post by Tim on June 13, 2017, 12:36 »
Hello there,

I've been using the Umberto software off and on over the last few years and I know that this question has already been asked, I was just hoping for an update. In 2013 dynamic modelling was going to be included in the next upgrade of Umberto Efficiency, however I cannot see any mention of it in the release notes, is it possible now and if not, are there any serious plans to implement it, as it would be an extremely useful tool for an upcoming project I have.

Also will it only be available for users of Umberto Efficiency, or will it be possible to use it in Umberto Universal?

Thanks for your time,
Tim

Hello,

I am currently working on a LCA using Umberto NXT Universal and dynamic modelling is definitely something that I need to complete my simulation.
Did you get any feedbacks/ updates regarding dynamic modelling since April 2017  ?

Your help would be greatly appreciated and thank.

Best regards,
George

Hi there, unfortunately I'm still awaiting a response!
